The AWN weather applet, developed by Mosburger. It parses weather.com's weather reports and will display the current weather conditions and temperature in your dock. Upon clicking on the applet, a dialog will be displayed, showing you a 5 day weather forecast of your area. The applet will also display a current weather map of your area upon right clicking and selecting that option. From my experience this applet is also completely stable and it can be found in awn-extras (but the latest version can be found in this thread: Click me).
Here is a video of it in action showing the weather for New York City (Current time is 9:50 PM so icon is displaying a moon as the weather as it is a clear night).
